Tres Leches Cake
The most popular cake in Costa Rica - milky, spongey and delightful
The Cake:
4 whole eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour, sifted
Butter, to grease the pan
1 can evaporated milk (12oz)
1 cup heavy cream
1 can condensed milk (14oz)
Meringue (can be replaced with regular whipped cream):
4 egg whites
3/4 cups sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
