I Spent 48 Hours in Costa Rica's Pearl of the Pacific

The “Pearl of the Pacific” was once the most visited tourist destination for Costa Ricans, when the train could take you from San José straight to the beach. Better known now as Puntarenas, the city is very much used as a middle ground for transit, whether that be for shipping at the Caldera Port, or tourists getting to and from the Nicoya Peninsula via the famous ferry. This port city has so much to offer from incredible street food, historical buildings, cultural celebrations, and HEAT to spice up your time in Costa Rica.
