Rincón de la Vieja is one of Costa Rica’s most active volcanoes and is nestled in a densely forested area just below the northern borders of Costa Rica. Being high up in the mountain allows you the chance to see multitudes of waterfalls while staying close to the volcano provides luxurious hot springs to keep you warm during your time in this moist mountainous climate. Keep your eyes wide for all kinds of wildlife in this area, there are many birds and other intriguing mammals that live in the rainforests here.
