4 Days in Poás | 5 Things to Do in Costa Rica’s Quiet Volcano Town

Only 50 minutes from the San Jose Airport, Poás is the perfect stop for the beginning or the end of your time in Costa Rica. This area is nestled high up in the clouds with rolling fields and grazing cattle as far at the eye can see. In Poás you can get some incredible coffee and fresh dairy products, and other delicious treats at the local restaurants. Top it all off with a visit to see the stunning turquoise-lagooned volcano, if you can manage the light walk in this high altitude!
