GALLO PINTO

The famous Costa Rican Breakfast dish. Start your day with a bowl of carbs and protein, and a whole lot of flavour!


2-3 Cups cooked rice, preferably Day Old and chilled

1 Heaped cup of beans (black beans, pinto, or small reds are best)

1/4 cup of the bean liquid

1/2 cup of finely diced onion

2 tsp. dried oregano

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp dried thyme

1/4 cup finely diced sweet pepper

2 TBSP. Lizano Salsa

Fresh Cilantro to taste

SALT + PEPPER TO TASTE
